About Dr Zara Amer

Dr Zara Amer specialises in managing kidney disease and hypertension-related conditions.

 

She is an Australian-based Nephrologist who received her Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) after completing her kidney specialist training at Westmead, Gosford, Nepean, Blacktown, Westmead Children's and St. George Hospitals. She is trained as a primary physician at Concord, Nepean, Canterbury, Ryde and Blue Mountains Hospitals. She is dual-trained and experienced in Acute General Medicine and Nephrology. 

Dr Amer completed the Master of Medicine (MMED) in Clinical Epidemiology from The University of Sydney after attaining her Fellowship. This has improved her skills in understanding the quality of medical research and its appropriate implementation into clinical practice to provide safe and effective evidence-based care.

 

Dr Amer is a visiting medical officer at St. John of God Hawkesbury, North Shore Private and Mt Wilga Rehabilitation Hospitals. 

She regularly attends Annual Conferences and meetings to keep her knowledge up to date, and she supervises junior medical officers and medical students to help them attain the professional skills for safe medical practice.

Dr Zara works in partnership with you and focuses on proactively preventing the progression of kidney disease and its complications.
